UPDATE: Pension reform’s adjustments envisage 200,000 rbl fine for employers

MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) -- Denial of employment or unjustified dismissal of pre-pensioners will result in a 200,000 ruble fine or up to 360 hours of obligatory works for employers, as seen by PRIME in President Vladimir Putin’s pension reform adjustments on Thursday.

Secretary of the general council of the ruling United Russia party Andrei Turchak said that Putin had sent the adjustments for consideration of the State Duma, the parliament’s lower house.

“As you know, Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin) has supported the United Russia’s initiatives and also made proposals that are very important for our citizens. The president’s adjustments have been officially received by the State Duma today,” he said.

In August, Putin suggested softening the pension reform by cutting the retirement age for women to 60 years from 63 proposed by the government and keeping it at 65 for men.

Turchak also said that the party also submitted the first package of adjustments to the bill.
